The Story
Everybody knows Johnny Hardwood. Or at least someone like him.
Johnny is boldly confident, relentlessly flirtatious, and armed with enough pickup lines to survive almost any social situation. Somehow, instead of making women roll their eyes and walk away, Johnny usually has them laughing right along with him.
Which makes his current predicament particularly annoying.
Johnny’s Mojo is a No Go.
Doctors have examined him. Clinics have offered advice. Nothing has restored the legendary confidence of the man who once considered flirting an aerobic activity.
Then MEDSeX gets involved.
After reviewing Johnny’s rather unusual collection of complaints, Dr. Anita Cox determines that his condition requires specialized in-home treatment. There is, apparently, only one nurse sufficiently qualified for the assignment.
Nurse Victoria Cumming.
Victoria arrives expecting a perfectly routine house call.
Then Johnny opens the door.
He takes one look at her and Johnny does what Johnny does.
“Wow. Look at you.”
Victoria barely reacts.
Johnny reaches for another line.
Then another.
Victoria remains professional, composed, and increasingly unconvinced that this patient is capable of going thirty seconds without flirting.
Eventually, she gives him a taste of his own medicine.
Johnny discovers very quickly that Nurse Cumming can play his game just as well as he can.
But she didn’t come to trade pickup lines.
She came to find out exactly what is wrong with Johnny Hardwood.
And MEDSeX has provided her with everything she needs to conduct a proper evaluation, beginning with a Patient Medical Questionnaire that asks questions no ordinary doctor has ever asked him before.
Johnny may have thought the embarrassing part was admitting that his Mojo had gone missing.
He was wrong.
Because Nurse Victoria Cumming is only getting started.
And somewhere between the examination, the diagnosis, and a few highly unconventional treatment options, Johnny begins to realize something very important.
This might be the best medical decision he’s ever made.
